Shali graduated from Sydney University in 2013, and spent the next 5 years working in small animal practice in Newcastle, Mackay, the UK and in Broken Hill. The lure of a Port Macquarie lifestyle with its fantastic beaches was not one she could turn down, so made the permanent move to the region in 2018, when she started work at East Port Veterinary Hospital.

Shali splits her work between small animals at East Port Veterinary Hospital, and the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital, and enjoys the mix of wildlife and companion animal cases.

On her days off and free time, she can be found chasing after her very busy toddler, swimming at the local beach or pottering around the garden. She has three chickens, named Speedy, Nacho and Taco.
