Payment Plans

Buy-now-pay-later plans are available at select veterinary clinics. These providers help spread the cost of your vet bill into smaller monthly payments.

If you’d like to use a payment plan, please check which clinics offer this ahead of any veterinary services.

Wellness Plans

Memberships like the Best for Pet Wellness Plan encourage consistent preventative care which is essential for happy and healthy pets.

These plans help keep costs low and make it easier to care for your pet with benefits such as unlimited consultations, annual care vaccinations, and a dental discount.

Pet Insurance

Pet insurance is a must-have for any pet owner. Our pets can unexpectedly fall ill or get injured, this is where pet insurance may help alleviate some of the financial burden of vet bills when things don’t go to plan.

If your insurance includes GapOnly®, many of our clinics can help you process a claim.

Vet Payment Plans

Everything you need to know

Cuddle now and pay later with a payment plan. Zip, Afterpay or VetPay are now available at select vet clinics. Pet healthcare is a journey filled with love, companionship, and sometimes unforeseen expenses. Whether it’s a routine check-up or unexpected care, these plans help you spread the cost of treatment. Navigate your pet’s healthcare journey with peace of mind with flexible, affordable payments.

Afterpay’s payment plan allows you to cover the cost of your pet’s treatment in four equal payments over six weeks. On the day, you’ll pay 25% of the vet bill, take your pet home, and repay the rest interest-free.

Afterpay approve transactions on a case-by-case basis with your credit limit increasing over time.

To utilise this
1. Create an Afterpay account or log in to process a payment.
2. Once set up, head to the app to see the amount you’re pre-approved to spend.
3. Activate the Afterpay digital card to make a payment.
4. Pay contactless in the clinic.
5. Head home with your pet for some TLC

Afterpay is only available at participating clinics and is subject to approval.

Pay later with Zip. Zip provides pet parents with two different buy-now-buy-later payment plans: Zip Pay or Zip Money. You can get the treatment your pet needs today and pay it back in your own time with up to 30 months interest-free.

With Zip, you can choose a payment method and frequency to suit you and your furry family.

To utilise this:
1. If you’re new to Zip, you can sign up via their website or app ahead of your visit.
2. Once approved, activate Zip’s single-use card feature on the mobile app.
3. Pay contactless in the clinic.
4. Head home with your pet for some TLC.

Zip is only available at participating clinics and is subject to approval.

Like Afterpay and Zip, VetPay is another financing option for pet parents, helping keep veterinary care affordable.

VetPay enables you to access your pet’s treatment now and pay for it over a six or 12-month term. VetPay requires an initial 20% deposit and will be repaid fortnightly until the balance is cleared.

Interest rates and repayment fees apply. Find out more about VetPay’s application process.

VetPay is only available at participating clinics and is subject to approval.

Pet Insurance

Much like human family members, our pets can unexpectedly fall ill or get injured, and the treatment can be expensive, not to mention stressful. This is where pet insurance may help to alleviate some of the financial burden of vet bills when things don’t go as planned.

Pet insurance is generally intended to cover serious illnesses and emergencies, which can result in significant expenses.

With many insurers and policies available, it is important that you undertake your own research and read the product disclosure statements carefully so that you understand what is covered and determine which insurer and cover is best suited to you and your pet.

Pet insurance works similarly to other types of insurance in that there is usually an excess to pay when you make a claim, waiting periods and annual limits.

Find out more about the ins and outs of pet insurance.

GapOnly® are taking pet insurance one step further. They’ve partnered with leading insurers to create a more convenient way to claim.

Find out if your policy is included here. If your policy is included, you’ll only pay the difference between the vet invoice and your insurance benefit – the “gap.”

Confirm if your local vet offers GapOnly® by contacing them directly.

Preventative Care

Your way to a healthier, happier pet. Designed to make it easier to access routine preventative healthcare services, our wellness plans are the best way to keep your pet healthier and happier for longer.

Access ongoing quality care typically not covered by pet insurance, with unlimited vet consultations, annual core vaccinations and discounted dentistry, all for a low monthly fee.

What are payment plans?2024-04-22T11:10:37+10:00

Payment plans are financial services that allow pet owners to cover the cost of their pet’s treatment. Instead of paying the full amount upfront, vet payment plans split the cost into smaller, manageable installments over time.

What’s the difference between Afterpay, Zip, and VetPay?2024-04-22T11:38:25+10:00

Each of these plans work similarly, but they have their own unique features. Afterpay, Zip and VetPay all allow you to split the cost of your pet’s treatment into smaller management payments. However, they may differ in terms of credit limits, payment schedules and approval processes. It’s essential to explore each option and choose the one that fits your needs best.

Can I use vet payment plans for any veterinary clinic?2024-04-22T11:40:10+10:00

Afterpay, Zip, and VetPay are only available at participating veterinary clinics. Before scheduling an appointment, it’s a good idea to check with your preferred clinic to see if they accept your chosen payment method. This will help ensure a smooth experience for both you and your pet.

How do I apply for Afterpay, Zip or VetPay?2024-04-22T11:40:59+10:00

To apply for payment plans you will need to create an account on their website or app, and undergo a credit assessment. Approval is usually quick but each provider is subject to its own approval process. Once approved, you’re all set to use your chosen payment method for your pet’s vet bill.

Can I use multiple payment plans for the same treatment?2024-04-22T11:41:47+10:00

In most cases, you cannot use multiple vet payment plans for the same treatment. However, you may be able to split the cost across different payment methods if allowed by the clinic. If you’re considering this, it’s best to reach out to the clinic ahead of time to discuss your options.

What should I do if I have trouble making payments through a vet payment plan?2024-04-22T11:42:26+10:00

If you’re having difficulties making payments, contact the respective payment provider or vet clinic as soon as possible to discuss possible solutions. They may offer assistance or alternative options to help you manage your payments effectively. Your pet’s health and wellbeing are their top priority, so they’ll work with you to find a solution that works for everyone.
