Qualifications: DVM/BVB (Sydney University)

Dr. Eira Lamazares, pronounced “Ada”, obtained her veterinary degree at the University of Sydney, where she earned a spot on the Dean’s list of Excellence.

She first came to Vineyard for placement as a final year student and was taken under Rob Zammit’s wing. She returned as a fully-fledged veterinarian in 2022 and has since become an integral part of our team.

Originally from Madrid, Spain, Eira grew up surrounded by animals. Spending every holiday on her family’s farm in Galicia, she always knew she wanted to grow up to be a veterinarian.
Eira has a special interest in soft tissue surgery as well as emergency medicine. Eira also has a soft spot for rabbits and is a bun-mum to Egg, Pippin and Sam.
When not at work, you can find Eira at the nearest pilates studio, at home reading or spending time with her loved ones.
