Anita Graduated from Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia in 1983 and travelled to Melbourne shortly after graduation. In Melbourne she worked in small animal practice and then in exclusively ophthalmology practice with Dr Rowan Blogg, one of the founding fathers of the science of Veterinary Ophthalmology. Anita returned to Perth in 1986 and at the request of local practitioners, ran an ophthalmology referral practice until accepting a residency in Comparative Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota which she completed in 1991. Anita passed the rigorous examinations to become a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 1992 and returned home and registered as a veterinary specialist in Ophthalmology, one of only three in Australia at that time. Anita was the only registered specialist in ophthalmology in WA until Martyn King returned from England in 2005. Anita has worked as a specialist ophthalmologist in a number of small animal practices in Perth and joined Martyn at Perth Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2013.
