Dr Ashley Steels always had a love for animals and loved learning about medicine in history so decided to combine the two and never looked back. Coming from the U.K, he loves seeing that the Aussies love their pets just as much as my clients back home.

His favourite thing about the job is overall all aspects of practice but particularly enjoy diagnostics and getting to see a scared, poorly pet turn back into a lively, healthy pet after treatment which is a hard feeling to beat!

What is one tip you would give to pet owners?

Ash would always advise owners of older dogs and cats to look out for signs of arthritis, it effects the majority of dogs over the age of 10 and cats over the age of 14 and can be very difficult to spot.
