BVM&S MRCVS MANZCVS (Small Animal Surgery)
Dr. Eleanor Woolley joined Peninsula Vet Emergency and Referral Hospital (ERH) in 2017 for a surgical internship, and returned in 2022 for surgical residency.
After graduating from the University of Edinburgh in 2005, Elee became an emergency veterinarian at a busy small animal hospital in Derby, UK, where she developed a passion for surgery. Elee moved to Australia and worked in Townsville as a GP and on-call vet before relocating to Melbourne in 2008, where she continued to work as a GP. Her strong surgical interest brought her to ERH where she is now studying to become a specialist.
Elee has completed a distance education surgery certificate and surgical internship and has membership with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in small animal surgery. She is involved in research into medical shoulder instability in poodles and their crossbreeds.
Her special interests include soft tissue surgery and minimally invasive surgery such as arthroscopy and laparoscopy.
Her pet family consists of two lovely cats, a rescue wolfhound cross bullmastiff called Wookie, seven chickens, and a lot of tropical fish.
