Dr. Alex Smelianski is a dedicated veterinarian with a passion for soft tissue surgery. Alex completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado in the US, before relocating to Australia. Graduating from the University of Sydney with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2018, he completed a Small Animal Surgery Internship at North Shore Veterinary Hospital before entering general practice. Alex brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our practice.

Alex is known as our bird whisper, he is always excited to see our feathered friends in clinic and we will often find him in the lunch room with a bird on his shoulder

Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with his two lorikeets, Chewy and Beaky. He also has a love for mountain biking, especially the thrill of dirt jumping and downhill riding. Alex’s commitment to animal care and his adventurous spirit make him a valued member of our team.
