Amelia completed the Doctor of veterinary Medicine at university of Melbourne, earning a bachelor of Biomedical Science prior. She has worked locally and abroad, completing a small animal internship in Connecticut USA where she also practiced as an emergency and critical care veterinarian.

Upon returning to Australia (with her rescue dog Kirra from Kentucky!) Amelia has worked extensively within companion animal care including shelter and welfare work with the RSPCA, emergency and critical care, and general practice roles. Her special interest include surgery, physical rehabilitation, and geriatric care.
