PLAN-SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS

GENERAL

These Plan-Specific Terms and Conditions must be read together with the Best for Pet Wellness Plan’s General Terms and Conditions. If there is any inconsistency between the two, the General Terms and Conditions will take precedence. Unless otherwise stated, all definitions in the General Terms and Conditions apply to these Plan-Specific Terms and Conditions.

For the avoidance of doubt, no Participating Clinic is obligated to provide any service or benefit listed in this Plan if the clinic determines that the service is not medically necessary for the health and wellbeing of Your pet. The Participating Clinic reserves the right to refuse service at its absolute discretion.

The Benefits lists in this document are specific to this Plan.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

  1. This Plan includes all routine core and recommended annual vaccinations, as prescribed by the treating veterinarian at the Participating Clinic. These (“Routine Vaccines”) include:
    1. Core canine and feline vaccinations
    2. Annual boosters for infectious canine cough (kennel cough)
    3. Leptospirosis vaccinations (where prevalent in the Member’s local area)
    4. FIV vaccinations

Any vaccination not listed as a Routine Vaccine is considered a Non-Routine Vaccination and is not included in this Plan.

  1. Unlimited consultations with a veterinarian or veterinary nurse, provided that:
    1. An appointment is scheduled with the Participating Clinic during normal clinic hours; and
    2. Each consultation does not exceed 20 minutes.
  2. The following consultations are not included in the Plan and may incur additional charges if they:
    1. Are performed without an appointment, including but not limited to walk-in and emergency appointments;
    2. Occur outside the Participating Clinic’s normal hours, including weekends and public holidays;
    3. Involve house calls, veterinary specialists, or behavioural consultations;
    4. Exceed 20 minutes; or
    5. Are rescheduled or cancelled, in which case charges apply in accordance with the Participating Clinic’s cancellation policy.

Note: If the Participating Clinic offers weekend appointments as part of its normal operating hours, you may still be charged a weekend surcharge.

  1. One (1) preventative health care screen, including a preventative blood and urine test. These tests are preventative in nature for the purposes of identifying potential illness or management of conditions. Additional charges may apply if further comprehensive testing or diagnostic work is required. Subject to Your pet’s requirement, the Participating Clinic may recommend the blood test and urine test be either used together or separately.
  2. One (1) microchip, only if the animal does not already have one..
  3. Up to $250 off one (1) dental procedure. This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion, including the 10% discount on professional veterinary services.
  4. 10% discount on professional veterinary services available at the Participating Clinic, which may include surgery, anaesthetic, sedation, radiology (imaging), cytology and anal gland expression. This does not include any specialist or referral services. The services included in this benefit may vary between Participating Clinics, depending on their service lists.
  5. 10% discount on parasite prevention, pet food and retail products purchased at a Participating Clinic.
  6. Four (4) nail trims. .
  7. The following additional benefits and services are available only at selected Participating Clinics:
    1. Two (2) nights of standard cat boarding per membership year (subject to availability and booking at the Participating Clinic). These nights may be:
      1. Two consecutive nights; or
      2. One night on two separate bookings; and
  1. Four (4) ‘do-it-yourself’ hydro baths.
